And as far as Bibi Nutandyahoo and the AIPAC tragic farce, what is there to say except we are a dog wagged by our Israeli tail. What needs to change is the Israeli right wing vision of what constitutes security - surely strength but also equally surely having enemies that are not seeking constantly to attack you (the whole Gaza missile thing). Having lived as a Jew in and among the Muslims of the Arab world for 40 years, it is my conclusion that Israel is its own worst enemy, and the only ones capable of bringing Israel to its knees are the Israelis themselves. So what else is new?

I am continually astonished at how negligent we are concerning global costs and consequences of food production and especially food security. We are fishing the oceans dry and purring pourselves in position for starvation and all the consequences of such food shortages that violence is inevitable. Ocean fisheries are the most depleted and have the most potential - 70% of the earth is covered by oceans, so imagine if we farmed the ocerans in a sustainable and ecologically minimally damaging profile...we can do it, but the company I am trying to establish cannot find capital or interest from all the development agencies supposed to be doing just that - such as Feed The Future at USAID. check it out at KZO Sea Farms. Tragic.

Hello Sandy
I stumbled upon your website seeking some information about Ramallah. How coincidental, as I had read your book several months ago in anticipation to my stay in Ramallah. I am an American educator, currently teaching at a community college in Lancaster Pa. I am staying in Ramallah for the month of October volunteering my services at Friends Boys School. I am not seeing a date on your latest post, but think it must be very recent. I will sign up as a subscriber to your blog, as I can see the richness and depth of your background offers extensive insight into an area and people I have come to love.
Cheers,
saundra hoover

A few years ago I reviewed your book 'The Lemon Tree' @ http://workersbushtelegraph.com.au/2009/02/21/book-review-the-lemon-tree/

I am looking forward to your next book.

May I publish your article 'Its the occupation, stupid' on Workers BushTelegraph.

I am afraid I cannot pay you as I fund this website with a small pension and can't stretch to paying contributors.

I liked your article, I would prefer if you had titled it simply 'Musical intifada'

Regards,
Ian

I hope you will do an audio version of your new book, as for The Lemon Tree, which is wonderful. Audio is such a gift for those of us who are visually impaired and who want to hear a good story over and over. Because the new book will deal with music, it would seem to be a natural for audio. Best wishes.
